  There are some excellent features about having a French Mortgage.
 
  • The first of these is the interest rates which are traditionally much lower and more stable than in the UK. One of the reasons for this is that French banks are much more cautious than UK banks which means that the banks in France do not lend more than can be repaid.
  • We offer a full range of mortgage products, some of which have the benefits of the monthly repayments staying the same REGARDLESS of interest rate rises. This works because the lifetime of the loan can be extended or reduced according to the prevailing interest rate.
  • The mortgage life can be extended by up to 5 years which helps the budgeting and reduces the number of shocks caused by short term interest rate rises. Should interest rates fall then the mortgage life can be reduced.
